Czech Opera Statistics 2003 – Jitka Ludvová

In the first half of 2004, Leoš Janáèek will be the most performed Czech composer. Four of his operas (Kaa Kabanová, Jenùfa, The Makropulos Affair, The Cunning Little Vixen) will be presented on 18 European and overseas stages. Bedøich Smetana follows with two of his operas (The Bartered Bride, Dalibor) on 5 stages. Antonín Dvoøák´s Rusalka can be seen on 4 stages, and Bohuslav Martinù´s The Greek Passion in three theatres.

 

Káa Kabanová: Antwerp, Helsinki, Zürich, Düsseldorf, San Diego;

Jenùfa: Budapest, Glyndebourne Opera House, Berlin, Meinigen, Düsseldorf, Nürnberg, Huston; 

Cunning Little Vixen: Saarbrücken, Düsseldorf, San Francisco;

The Makropulos Affair: Berlin, Stuttgart Düsseldorf;  

The Bartered Bride:  Berlin, Zürich, Stuttgart, Leeds; 

Dalibor:  Karlsruhe;

Rusalka: Schwerin, Leeds, Tel Aviv, New York;

The Greek Passion: Bremen, Covent Garden London, Tesaloniki.
