New Scenography and Theatre Architecture Titles Available after the Prague Quadrennial

In addition to the Czech translations of Arnold Aronson “A View to the Abyss” and Anne Bogart´s “Viewpoints” that were prepared for the Prague Quadrennial, the Theatre Institute published a series of new books and DVDs in time for the world’s largest exhibition of scenography and theatre design. Here is a list of publications that are still available. Some quantities are limited, so complete the order form and send it to us immediately if you are interested in obtaining any copies.

 

Prague Quadrennial 07 Exhibition Catalogue -

PQ07 catalogue.jpgOver 350 pages including a description of each of the themes from the 53 National Exhibits. The full colour publication contains information about all sections of the PQ, including the National, Student Section - Scenofest, as well as the Section of Theatre Architecture and Technology, and the description of the live programme of events.

The Forman Brothers – Purple Sails on the Mystery Ship

Prague Quadrennial 2003 DVD

The DVD documents the national, school and architecture exhibits of each of the 50 participating countries through colourful photographs, information and video materials. The DVD also includes the television documentary in English produced by Czech Television.

Artist of the Stage Space – František Troster

Troster.jpgThe new publication that accompanied the outstanding exhibit of world famous stage designer František Tröster (1904-1968) during the Prague Quadrennial 2007. Troster is one of the most famous generation of Czech scenographers who not only laid the foundations for Czech scenography, but theatre design all over the world.
