Cakes and Puppets
The Buchty a Loutky (Cakes and Puppets) Theatre Company was founded in 1991. Forever on the road, the group has no desire for its own building, its own residence. It has no theatrical plan, nor follows any genre. It is always on the go looking for the true content - what good is a building on such a rocky trail? In children´s performances, the company places emphasis on dialog with the audience. In order to make the experience from the performance real, the puppets are given the stage while the actor’s passion moves in the background. Performances for adults are purely experimental.
