About the Production:
The drama Brand, which in our opinion has lost nothing of its currency even one hundred and fifty years on, offers a harsh and sarcastic portrait of the consumer society and the intellectual languor encountered by a young man. The hero rejects the apathy and half-heartedness of the people around him, his soul being guided by the credo "all or nothing". Given his life attitude, the sacrifices he is forced to make are huge, yet, at the same time, he constantly has to wonder whether it isn't better, for the sake of his well-being and peace of mind, simply to sometimes turn a blind eye and back down, to resign himself to an average existence - and to adapt. But wouldn't a sideways step, in fact, ultimately mean the loss of everything?
