About the Production

The narrative of the novel by Tobie Lolness has the advantage that it is a condensed interpretation of real, serious, exisiting problems in society, and at the same time it is a fairytale in the true sense of the word. The action takes place in a tree, which is a metaphor for the world of humans, and the stage for a heroic pilgrimage. One of the topics of the model is energy as sap, which is a stage metaphor for"materialization". The audience can therefore experience it in person and co-create, so that their notions of it can become more real. Energy exerted on the creation and unfolding of the performance is not taken for granted: it springs forth and flows from somewhere, and it is necessary to follow it with care.
